“We have purchased this range and it looks great. We noticed firm styrofoam fixed in place under the body of the range as we were adjusting the back legs. Is this styrofoam meant to be removed and if so, how?”

Hi - Thanks for choosing GE and welcome to the family! Styrofoam is often used as insulation, stability, or as a barrier of some kind. Styrofoam around the vent area and lower frame of the range is not packing material and should not be removed.
