“Is there a vent at the back? Our existing one is 25.5 " and all of the new ones are 2 to 3 inches above that. We have formica and a curb at the back of the current range.We will have to cut in or it will stick out too far and want it to look good.”

Are you saying your cooking surface is 25.5” above the floor? That sounds wrong. Too low. Did you mean 35.5”? Our cook top is 36” above the floor. The vent at the rear rises about 3/4” above the cook top. Hope this helps.
