Hi there, and thank you for reaching out to us about this slide-in range. We certainly understand how important fitting the range into your space is, and are glad to advise. The range is 37 1/4" in height overall, and 36" at the cooktop surface. The leveling legs of the unit can be adjusted up to approximately 1 inch; this should allow the difference between the cooktop and your countertop to be made up. With the cooktop at a height of 36 inches from the floor, the gap between the floor and drawer bottom should be less than 1.160 inches, though this can change depending on the leveling legs placement. Further information about installing this unit into the correct space, and the leveling legs, is available in the installation instructions.
