“From memory, pretty much all kitchen cabinets are 24" deep & with a counter lip, distance from wall is 25" - 26". Since this oven is full depth 28-7/8", is it meant for a deeper counter top or does it mesh with the above normal cabinet and counter depth?”

Hi Neil- Yes, you are correct. Standard cabinets are 24" deep and standard countertops are 25" deep. This range is designed to be installed with these standard cabinets and countertops. The Overall Depth of 28 1/4" includes the handle.
