Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hey there, were happy to help. Yes, this range can be installed in an island without a vent hood or over-the-range microwave. You will just have to make sure there is no combustible material within 30” above the range and check with your local codes to see if exhaust is required in your local region. Please also know when a gas cooktop or range is installed in an island, there is a minimum clearance requirement between the cut-out and edge of the countertop. The clearances in the Installation Instructions must be met. Let us know if you need anything else. - Guy@GEA
