Hi REZA - Thanks for considering GE! Assuming an eight foot ceiling, a 50 pint is a reasonable size for a 1000 sq. ft. room (Note: If your ceiling is 10' add 25% to the room square footage). Take a look at the following link- DEHUMIDIFIER - SIZING: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=34664 - If you have any additional questions, do not hesitate to ask, we are happy to help at GEAppliances.com!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You should be able to find the maximum area this unit will handle on the product specifications. There are limits and if you have a large area and place it at one end then the coverage will not be very good. Place it in the middle if possible. If not monitor results. You may need another.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. How damp it is matters more than square footage. I have mine in a 990 square ft area that is 70% humidity after a solid rain. You can cover more if it doesn't get that damp. It's a nice unit, much quieter than others I have used.
