Hi - While the humidity control can be set as low as 35%, we recommend starting at 45%. After a day or so, if you feel the space is still damp, then set it lower to 35 or 40%. We truly hope this helps with the issue you're experiencing. All our best! Vikki@GEA

My garage is 5 feet from the water and would mold if I didn’t keep mine running. 30-35% is way too low for me. 50% with this dehumidifier is perfect. I wouldn’t go lower than 45%. It’s way too dry. It’s best to use a hose drain vs the drawer though with that much moisture. It shuts off when the bucket is full. This is the 2nd one of these I’ve bought. They as fantastic and do a super job!
