“Is this GE 50-pint dehumidifier a replacement (the same as the) for the pre-2019 GE 70-pint model, made for the same sq. footage? -- (I know there was a size "re-numbering" done in 2019, but not sure if this model is the replacement?) Thanks!”

Hey there, Thanks so much for taking the time to reach out. We're happy to answer your question! According to our sizing guide, a 70-pint model can work for a room up to 1400 sq. ft. while a 50-pint model can only go up to 1000. So as long as the room is no more than 1000 sq. ft. then a 50-pint model will work just fine. We hope this helps. Mike@GEA
