Hi there - We appreciate you reaching out about this and we apologize that your dehumidifier is making a rattling noise. A dehumidifier operates basically like a refrigerator and has the same components, so when it's running you will hear compressor noise, a condenser fan noise, possible water dripping into the storage bucket, and normal cycling on and off sounds much like you hear with your refrigerator. Make sure that the unit is on level flooring, has been installed properly as per the installation instructions, and that the bucket has been properly seated. You may also clean the unit by following the steps on page 8 of the owner's manual (linked on our website). If the rattling noise continues despite following those steps, you may consider returning it to Best Buy. If you're beyond the return date, please review the warranty information on page 11 of the owner's manual and give us a call at 800.GE.CARES (800.432.2737). We hope this helps! Best, Kelsey@GEA
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I’m afraid I can’t help you. We purchased this for our sons basement which we hook up a hose to the drain . He has been checking it all the time and says it’s really quiet when it’s draining. Sorry I couldn’t be of any help to you.
