“Why is the Width minimum requirement 25" if the product only has 19" in width?”

Hi AC - Thanks for viewing GE Model AHP12LZ! When installed with the accordion side panels (included), fits min./max. window opening width 25"/36-5/8". That's why the ac has the sliding screens on each side to fill any gap that your windows have. I have oversized windows and it fit mine perfect.
