• The lowest you can set it to is 64 degrees. This AC unit is awesome and cools very quickly. I never put it that low or I would be too cold.

• It depends on how hot the room is. If it's set at 65 and the room is too big for air conditioner it won't shut off because it can't cool the whole area. Air conditioner are made for the recommended square footage of the unit. Hope this helps. Susan
