Q: QuestionHello, When describing the burners, which burner is #1, and do the numbers then proceed clockwise? What is the position of the 21000 btu burner - front left? Is the numbering system consistent for all stove descriptions? Many thanks, GrannyG
Asked by GrannyG.
- A:Answer Hi GrannyG- The burner BTU's are as follows: 1. Left Front 21,000 BTU Tri-ring Burner, 2. Left Rear 5,000 BTU Precise Simmer, 3. Right Front 15,000 BTU, 4. Right Rear 9,500 BTU, 5. Center 9,500 BTU Dual Oval. This should be consistent with other models. Q: QuestionHello, Can either of the ovens broil?
Asked by Broil.
- A:Answer Hi - The gas broil burner is in the lower oven. The low power electric element in the upper oven does not get hot enough to broil. Rather, it is there to provide the right amount of top heat for browning during bake. You'll love your color choice. Slate appliances blend with today's premium kitchen materials. Q: QuestionHello, I don't see any info on the material of the front display panel? Is it glass? If not, what material is it made of?
Asked by elodiac.
This question was asked about the related product: GE - Profile Series 6.7 Cu. Ft. Slide-In Double Oven Gas Convection Range - Stainless Steel
- A:Answer Yes, it's a "glass" touchscreen. It may be a poly-carbonate panel but you get the idea. We've had ours for about 2 months now and we love it. It's easy to clean and performs great. The oven seems to produce a true and even heat and the cook top burners perform well. Very happy with the purchase.

Q: QuestionI don’t want my toddler to be able to turn on the stove or burners. Is the “lock controls” button good for this? Does any range have a child lock feature?
Asked by AbbyQ.
This question was asked about the related product: GE - 6.7 Cu. Ft. Slide-In Double Oven Gas Convection Range - Black Stainless Steel
- A:Answer Hi AbbyQ- Thanks for considering GE! "Lock Controls" locks out the control so that pressing the pads does not activate the controls. The burners cannot be locked. The gas control knobs on all our gas cooking products meet GE Appliances and third-party industry safety requirements as push-to-turn knobs. You must push the knob in and turn it to the LITE position. The electric spark igniters automatically light the surface burners, when the control knobs are turned to LITE. You may want to check with Perfectly Safe: 1-800-837-KIDS(5437) (M-F 8:00am - 5:00pm. EST). They offer locks for appliances, range knob covers, etc. Keep in touch! Sue

Q: QuestionCan you set separate timers for the two ovens?
Asked by Miscellamy.
- A:Answer Hi Miscellamy- There is only one Timer On/Off. However, each oven features Cook Time. When set, counts down cooking time and turns off the oven when the cooking time is complete. Select a desired cooking mode and temperature. Press Options and select Cook Time. Use number pads to program a cook time in hours and minutes. Then press Start/Enter.
