Yes, you have to plug it in (110volts a/c) The plug is for the clock and the electric ignition for the gas burners, and the stoves.

So you would need to place the stove into an area where it is accessible to a outlet in order to operate the controls on the display panel and the air fryer. Plus when you use the burners in order to ignite it also is electric.
