That model was indeed originally designed to use our MWF/MWFP filters, but we did make a change to the type of filter it uses in June 2018. If your refrigerator was manufactured after that date, it would use our XWF/XWFE filter. The model/serial number tag on your unit should clarify the manufacturing date, but if you’re still unsure which filter your refrigerator would use, you’re more than welcome to reach out to us over social media; we would be glad to look into this further, or help with any other questions or concerns you have. The MWF water filters have been replaced by MWFP filters, an improved and updated version. That is the filter that should fit your refrigerator. A:AnswerHi - Part GWF has been superseded to Part MWF/MWFP. Improved, replacement version of MWF. A carbon based filter with GE's Advanced Filtration. MWF and MWFP are interchangeable (can be used in any refrigerator that uses the MWF). Advanced Filtration reduces 5 pharmaceuticals that are often found in trace amounts in tap water: fluoxetine, trimethoprim, progesterone, ibuprofen, and atenolol. (Pharmaceuticals claims tested by independent laboratory.
