Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi Elizabeth, thanks for reaching out! This is a quality small appliance, however, the warranty that accompanies each GE Appliance specifically states that the warranty does not cover the failure of the product is “used commercially,” thereby intending to exclude from warranty appliances not used in a residential setting. However, to determine what is “commercial use” can be difficult and therefore, we must look at how the appliance is being used and the frequency of such use. - For example, these situations would suggest commercial use: -Residential laundry units located in hotels, hair salons, animal grooming, day care, restaurant, fire departments, etc. for purposes of washing and drying all linens for that business -Dishwasher products used in restaurants or any other food preparation applications -Microwave units used in restaurants, employee cafeteria, or any other general food preparation applications -Refrigeration units for medical storage in labs, hospitals or large medical offices -Cooking products for food preparation in restaurants. We hope that this helps! Stay safe. -Michael
