“I need to replace a GE "Profile" white microwave, model # PEM31DMIWW . The microwave slides into a cabinet that is 24" wide by 115/8" High. The Depth is 127/8". What is the replacement model? Please advise. Thank you.”

Hi JohnnyO, I am happy to help. The closest replacement is model PEM31DFWW. The actual dimensions are (HxWxD) 12 1/8 in x 24 in x 12 7/8 in, so if you have it just sitting in a space it will not work. If you have your current unit built in, you just need to use one of the optional kits that is compatible with the new model: JX827DFWW JX830DFWW. Microwaves need adequate air clearance on each side, the rear and the top to function properly. This allows good circulation for the intake and discharge air vents. Countertop Models: 3" of clearance on both sides and the top 1" clearance in the rear The front edge of the microwave (measured at door) should sit at least 3" or more back on the counter or shelf to avoid accidental tipping.
