“I have GE Model #JEM31SF01 which came with the home. It has been of great use. Except for the fact that the top panel has the coating flaking off. Is this a common factor with age? If so I don't want to purchase another GE.”

Hey there, We're quite sorry to hear that the panel is flaking off and understand how much of an eyesore that is. That is not a common situation with our microwaves.
