Hello there - We appreciate you reaching out to us about this and we're glad to offer guidance. We do not recommend mixing and matching trim kits with microwaves they aren't designed for. This microwave (PEM31SFSS) has a compatible trim kit (JX827SFSS) that has the same cutout dimensions as your current trim kit. Therefore, it should work just fine in your space.
