Q: QuestionI am looking to replace my old Microwave model # JE2160BF001 with the 2.2 Model PEB7227DLB will this model be a good replacement and can I use the old trim I have for the new model ?

Q: QuestionI have a cabinet cutout that is max 24.25" wide, depth is not an issue and we are getting new cabinet facings so height is also not an issue. Would like a 1.6-2.2cu microwave to fit this space with a max dim of 27" trim kit. What options in stainless?

Q: QuestionI had a counter top microwave ZE2160 silver with a 30” trim kit 2200 (3512208300). The kit has no vents and is basically a popon with a bunch of screws to hold it in place. Can you recommend a replacement for the microwave that fits the trim?

• A:Answer No the old trim kit will not work , the dimensions of the new microwave are not the same as the old. I actually had to shim the new microwave on the bottom in order to center the new microwave in the hole correctly to fit the new trim kit. Best of Luck Sorry I do not have any pictures

• A:Answer I saw that there was a trim kit but it cost so much I decided to use the one of the old microwave. I had to do a little adapting but it's fine. If you are not a handy-person go ahead and buy one. GE should have the number for the kit. You can get it through Best buy, too.

The 27" trim kit for this model can be see here: JX7227DLBB - and the 30" trim kit can be seen here: JX7230DLBB.
