Q: QuestionDo I need to buy an installation kit for this microwave? We picked this microwave up to install ourselves, but there was no installation parts included. We knew we needed to get a trim kit, but there is no base pan or anything to secure the microwave.

• A:Answer Hi DerrellSC, thanks for your question! Based on page 1 of your installation instructions, all of the installation equipment would come with the microwave upon delivery. If you were not supplied this installation equipment, then we would recommend reaching out to your dealer to let them know about this. They may be able to assist with either getting the parts for you or exchanging the unit with one that has the installation equipment. We hope that this helps! Stay safe. -Michael

Q: QuestionMy existing cutout width is 28 3/8". The installation spec sheet shows a maximum width of 25 5/8. The instructions do not show screws being on the sides of the unit, only the top and bottom. Will my cutout work, or will I need to narrow it?

Model PEB7227ANDD has only been approved for installation in cabinets up to 25-5/8" in width. We recommending contacting a local cabinet maker to inquire about options on shortening the width of the space. Please let us know if you have any more questions. - JB

Q: Questionwe want model PEB 7227SLSS in stainless steel, but your website shows the color as gray. Doe "gray" mean stainless steel?

• A:Answer No. What you see is exactly what you get. The PEB is the built in cabinet model that requires the Trim Kit as an additional item which you can get the stainless steel color. GE does sell the PES model which is for counter top use in different colors.

Q: QuestionI have a 2019 GE Profile PEB7227DL1BB microwave that must be replaced. I see that you have PEB7227DLBB (no "1" before the BB). Is that the same model and will my current trim kit fit? This is the THIRD GE Profile microwave in 5 years!!!!

• A:Answer Can't answer as I had a much larger Panasonic microwave-convection oven that lasted me 25 years. Only got GE because size closest and it was white.

Q: QuestionWe are in the process of replacing a GE Profile model JE2160BF03 built in microwave and wonder which profile microwave you would recommend to replace the older model. We would like to not have to do major woodwork on the present cavity over our GE oven.

Q: QuestionWe have a white built in GE JEB1860DM1WW Microwave. Dimensions are approx H 12.75" x W 23.5" x D (less than 24"). What can we use to replace this microwave? And do we need a new microwave shroud to go with it? If so, what do you recommend?

Q: QuestionI am replacing a JE1640WB001 White Built in microwave installed over a 30 " built in oven. Is the PEB7227DLWW my best option or do you have another suggestion? Also, what is the appropriate trim kit?

• A:Answer Hello Bill - this is Nancy at GE Appliances and we are happy to help you. Your current microwave trim kit required a cabinet cutout of 17-9/16" high x 24-1/8" wide. The PEB9159DJWW trim kit requires a cabinet cutout of 17-1/8" high x 23-1/4" wide. The PEB7227DLWW trim kit requires a cabinet cutout of 16-3/4" high x 25-1/2" wide. The PEM31DFWW trim kit requires a cabinet cutout of 15" high x 24-7/8" wide. Based on the cabinet cutout requirements, the PEB9159DJWW may be the best replacement. We hope this helps!
