A:AnswerScrew GE - they will always answer that the trim kit is model specific and you have to buy their new kit. Buy a new trim kit off of ebay for just a little over $100. It is ridiculous that the older trim kits do not fit the new ones. That is why our landfills are full.
A:AnswerThe model you currently have has a built-in vent underneath it as it is designed to be installed above a range or cooktop surface. This model you mentioned does not have a vent underneath, so it cannot be used in your installation. All 30" over-the-range microwaves are approximately the same width and are designed to fit into a 30" wide cabinet opening. Therefore, any of our current 30" over-the-range microwave models will work as a replacement for an existing 30" over-the-range microwave model, such as our new model JVM7195DKBB. Each microwave comes with the mounting hardware (mounting bracket, screws, exhaust adapter), top and rear templates, and Installation Instructions needed to complete the installation process. When replacing an over-the-range microwave, the mounting bracket included with the new microwave should be used since the mounting bracket is specific to each model. The new screws, bolts and exhaust adapter should also be used.

A:AnswerIf you wish to use a black trim kit, you would either use the JX7227DLBB (Black) for a 27" cabinet or the JX7230DLBB (Black) for the 30" cabinet.
A:AnswerI replaced a GE Profile micro wave oven from 2014 with model PCWK22U1W1BB. Old and new were both 2.2 cubic ft and had similar WxHxD measurements. Close enough that I thought the old trim kit would work with the new oven. Unfortunately no and I had to buy an over priced new trim kit.

A:AnswerWhen used as a countertop microwave, this model requires 3" of clearance on both sides and the top and 1" clearance in the rear. When installed in a cabinet, the compatible trim kit should be used which will take care of any air clearances. The compatible trim kits are JX7227DLBB or JX7230DLBB.
A:AnswerOur PCHK11S1WBB model with the new compatible trim kit (27" - JX827SDFBB or the 30" - JX830DFBB) would be the closest comparable replacement models. To determine which size kit to use, measure the overall width of your existing microwave including the trim on each side. -Vikki@GEAppliances
