A:AnswerHi Connie- This is Sue at GE Appliances. Rich and elegant, the stone-inspired Slate finish blends impeccably with today's materials and colors. The dark matte appearance also naturally hides fingerprints, smudges and dirt, so it's delightfully easy to maintain. Stainless accents complement any hardware. On the sides, a specially created shade of gray goes with every color for easy coordination. Thanks for checking with us!
A:AnswerHello Savannah, This is Joyce from GE Appliances. I checked the link and it is a Slate refrigerator, however the description does say it it stainless. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention and we will have it corrected. If you see ES at the end of the model number it is a Slate appliance. If you see SS at the end of the model it is a Stainless Steel appliance. Thanks so much for checking with us. Have a good day!
A:AnswerHello JD - this is Nancy at GE Appliances and I am happy to help you. This is a very nice refrigerator. We offer a similar refrigerator that is counter-depth with the hands-free auto fill feature in Slate, Model #PYE22KMKES, but not black. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Thanks for checking with us and we hope either the Stainless Steel or Slates models can work for you.
A:AnswerHello Jerry,
We are happy to help. Model PYE22KMKES is a slate model. We will see if we can get this corrected. Thank you for checking with us.
Lisa from GE Appliances.
A:AnswerNo, the PYE22KYNFS and GYE22GYNFS don't have the same refrigerator fan motor. The PYE22KYNFS has a net weight of 333 lbs; GYE22GYNFS has a net weight of 3660 lbs. Both models do offer glass shelves.
A:AnswerI can’t tell you. I ordered this refrigerator Feb 14, 2021. The delivery date for it has been changed 4 times by BestBuy - each time pushing it further and further out. Supposedly they will be delivering it June 3rd now, 3 1/2 months after purchase. If you’re going to buy it, buy it somewhere other than BestBuy. I am kicking myself that I hadn’t read all the horrible reviews of BestBuy before I walked in there.
A:AnswerAuto fill allows you to walk away from the fridge as it fills up your cup. A sensor on the fridge determines the size of your cup and fills it up. Precise fill allows you to set an amount to fill to and then you hold your cup underneath to fill it. The water will automatically stop once the amount selected is reached.
A:AnswerHi there,
We appreciate you reaching out. We can understand the annoyance with the refrigerator always moving when opening the doors. To prevent this, simply adjust the leveling legs until the refrigerator is stable. Let us know if you have any other questions! Mike@GEA
A:AnswerHi Precisereset - While the sensors are not adjustable, to stop dispensing, press any pad, including the AUTOFILL button. For optimum results, use a uniform container between 4-8” tall and 2-6” wide. Some models may have a shorter recess, and therefore the maximum container height may be slightly reduced. Handles, straws, and garnishes on the rim of the container my cause overfilling or variation in fill volumes. Ice in container may affect fill volume. Keep sensors clean with a clean damp cloth, and do not spray liquid or cleaners directly on sensors. A:AnswerI bought one of those and it did the same thing. They brought me another one and it does it too. Set at 34 degrees and usually is 42 or 43degrees when it hasn’t be opened.
A:AnswerCheck your water filter by removing it and empty the water. Replace the filter making sure it’s completely tight by proper rotation. Immediately purge the air pressure within the filter and water system by using the water dispenser. This is for GE Profile and Cafe models. My Cafe refrigerator was manufactured in the year 2000. You may have to replace the water filter making sure it’s installed tight so that the sensors operate properly.
