Hi betsy122, thanks for your questions! Yes, this model can be converted to use Liquid Propane (LP) rather than Natural Gas. The conversion kit comes with the unit. We'd recommend that this conversion be performed by a qualified gas professional. - As for the power of the cooktop, converting from Natural Gas to LP would not affect the BTU ratings. The manufacturer includes the conversion kit. Here in Puerto Rico most of gas range use only propane gas. In USA, use more natural gas due the cool weather that affect Liquid Propane Gas.
