All you have to do it scoop the ice and it breaks up easily

Hello Mike,
To answer your question. Yes the ice does start to clump together after the bin fills up. However it is minimal and easily broken up with the ice scooper. We have not had any issues with not being able to get the ice collected from the bin. We are pleased with it and happy with our purchase!

It sticks a little but it's still easily breakable with the scoop. It doesn't become one big lump.

I noticed that when I have plenty of water in the reservoir or side tank the ice tends not to clump up. But when the water is low and the machine can only make new ice when the old ice melts then it clumps up.

At the end of the day though the little plastic scoop breaks up the clumps with ease.
