“I am replacing my GE SpacemakerXL1800 with this model PVM9179. The existing microwave has OUTSIDE BACK EXHAUST HORIZONTAL DUCT (installation type C). Do the exhaust holes in the back of the units have the same dimensions and positions for the 2 models?”

Hi - Thank you for reaching out to us and for your interest in a new Profile over-the-range microwave. The size of the duct is 3 1/4" x 10". We recommend reviewing the installation templates we make available online to compare the actual vent location to your existing model. Select XL1800 series models may have the vent situated in a different location. If you provide the actual model of your existing microwave, we can check on this further. Kind regards - Vikki@GEA
