“I want to use this microwave as a built-in but NOT over the range. It has a vent fan on the bottom so can it be used without that feature or do you have a model similar that you would suggest that doesn't have the vent option at all. Please Help!”

Good day, Thanks so much for reaching out. We'll be glad to assist you! Our over the range microwaves cannot be installed in cabinets or spaces where the bottom is covered. They can be installed in a cabinet even if there's not a cooking product underneath, but the height clearances must still be met. If that is not possible to do, we recommend checking out one of these built-in models: PEB9159SJSS or PEB7227ANDD. While they may not have as many features as model PVM9179SRSS, they are designed to be built in. Let us know if you have any other questions. Mike@GEA
