It’s a convection micro. The metal rack and try is used when you cook in the convection mode with heat and microwave.

The metal tray are shelves to be used during Convection Bake, Convection Roast, or Combination Fast Bake. These should not be used during microwave use. For best results, use one shelf in the lower position and leave at least one inch gap between the cooking dish and sides of oven. For two level Baking or Fast Baking use both shelves.
