“i have a 12" depth cabinet over the stove. Need a new microwave. There is a shelf the microwave can sit on above the stove that currently has a countertop microwave sitting in it. The opening is 16 1/2" high and 27" wide. Will a built in work?”

This microwave can be installed as built-in or hanging. We strongly encourage you to view the installation requirements by inputting the model number (PEM31DFBB) into our GE Appliances website. The maximum height for this model is 16-1/2" and 26-7/8"-29-7/8' wide. You will need trim kit JX830DFWW for this installation as well. Let us know if you have additional questions!
