“My 2002 GE over the oven microwave just died. The unit is only 28" wide, including the container it makes 30". The model is J T P85WOD1WW. Can I order a replacement unit and have it installed by a local electrician?”

Hi SueB - We are sorry to hear your microwave is no longer operating and certainly appreciate your loyalty. Built-in double ovens with an upper microwave (JTP85WOD1WW) are designed as one model so that the oven and microwave are wired together. You cannot replace just the microwave or just the oven. It would require repair or replacing the entire model. The latest model is GE Profile™ Series 30" Built-In Combination Convection Microwave/Convection Wall Oven PT7800DHWW.
