“I have Microwave Model Number PEM31SM1SS. The door release operates only on the bottom tine (see photos). Can this be repaired? If not, can I purchase a new unit with identical dimensions? (It sits in a cabinet recess with close fit custom dimensions).”

Hi - We are sorry to hear about the difficulty you are having with your microwave. While this model is a repairable item, it will require a service technician to provide a proper diagnosis and repair cost. The dimensions of the current comparably featured model is slightly different. If your unit was installed in a custom enclosure and the built in wall kit wasn't used, this may present a problem for you. The current model PEM31SFSS measures: 12 1/8 H x 24 W x 12 7/8 D.
