“The cut out above my stove is 24" wide by 17 1/2" high. I can widen it without a problem but will the extra 3/4" of an inch in the height be a problem with the 25 1/2" by 16 3/4 trim kit?”

Hi Todd- This is Sue at GE Appliances. We are excited to hear of your interest in our Profile Series Microwave! The optional 27" BUILT-IN TRIM KIT JX7227DFBB is required for built-in installation. The cutout height requirement is 16 3/4".
