Hi - We appreciate your interest in Our Profile Vent Hood. As a built-in product, it will arrive from the factory ready to be hard-wired. If you prefer, you can purchase the JXHC1 power cord kit and this unit can then be plugged into an outlet. We hope this is helpful. Kind regards - Vikki@GEAppliances
