That is therein reason that I returned this toaster oven. I even called GE's customer service, and she told me that you can only use the settings that were set by the manufacturer. She also said that I would have to figure out if my oven ran "hot" or "cold" and then I could select the closest temperature to cook my food--how horrible.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.320 or 330 degrees. 370 or 380 degrees. It doesn't make any difference. Essentially NO oven has a precise temperature the whole time it is being used. A thermostat works when the temperature drops below the setting and the heating turns on and vice versa. 5 degrees either way doesn't change how well any oven works.

We apologize for the delay in response and appreciate your patience. We are sorry to hear that you are disappointed in the range that the temperature settings offer you are happy to offer you some guidance in this. When using the manual cooking modes, (Roast, Bake, Broil, and Keep Warm) the settings can be manually customized to prepare a wide range of foods and allow you to cook according to your favorite recipes. Both cook time and temperature may be adjusted for each mode. While we do understand that you would wish to have a more precise temperature control, we would recommend that you review the charts on pages 7-9 of your Use and Care Manual for guidance on setting your oven for best cooking results. We truly appreciate your feedback and will be sure to share your comments with our product design team for improvement of future toaster oven products. We hope that this helps to clarify! -Eliza@GEA
