In order to bi-amp two speakers, you would indeed need two of these... Unless you're using this to supplement a decent AVR that you can dial in to be one of the two amps of the bi-amp system (probably AVR for highs and this for lows, since the THD on this isn't spectacular and i think you'd notice it less just pushing low end.). TLDR if you just have a preamp for your source, you will need two of these to bi-amp a pair of RP280's
