• We've had ours for almost 3yrs now. Only changed filters 2x. Really depends on how often you use them and how much allergens, etc are in your home. Ie pets, smoking, etc But filters online at bestbuy.

• There is no life expectancy on the unit as it can vary depending on how it is used and cared for. The filter cost averages $35 depending on where it is purchased. The filter will need to be replaced every 6 months depending on environment.
