Best Buy is a company and they want to make tons of money just like everyone else. This is what businesses do now. Get used to the prices.

There is no real answer that will satisfy everyone. The problem is the shortage - AMD Released them with their price and as the other GPU Companies like Gigabyte, ASUS, Power Color - they all raised their prices due to their own modifications. The first one I bought was the 5700 XT for $700, which I thought was expensive. Months later, I paid the $960 ( bestbuy.com ) for the 6700 XT. Are the cards worth it ? Just a matter of how much you use the card and what you expect to get out of it. I'm keep my cards for the long term. You never know what the future will bring.
