Yes it's compatible. But I would highly recommend to flash the newest version of the BIOS before even putting in the CPU. How you do that is on another PC look for the correct BIOS on the Gigabyte website and download it and save it to a USB drive. Then put the USB drive on the BIOS labeled slot on the motherboard and click the flash button. The instructions may vary a bit from MB models so always refer to Gigabyte and their instructions on their website.
