“I have an older tv that won't accept the newer streaming devices using the hdmi port, it says they are not compatible. Will this work for my TV? It used to work just fine with an apple TV, but that broke so I got a new one and new roku, but neither work.”

Depends on your TV. From my experience it works on all TV's with HDMI. As long as you have wifi.

In general, Chromecast works with most TVs, even old non-smart ones as long as it is connected to a TV with an HDMI input, and connected to a reliable Wi-Fi network.
