This is the Verizon version supporting Verizon mmWave and sub-6 bands. Hence the higher price than unlocked phones. Unlocked Pixel 6 phones will work on Verizon, but they do not have the mmWave radio included with the Verizon version. Hope this helps.

Google doesn't specifically make phones for a carrier rather they software lock the radios to that carrier until the phone is unlocked. Technically you can buy a Pixel 6 from any carrier and get the same antennas to use on any carrier once the phone is carrier unlocked.
