“Do the Buds work well in differentiating between the conversations when listening to someone speaking like when I'm on a call or listening to a podcast and someone walks up and starts chatting?”

The have a built feature called transparency that let the sound through, lets say you have music and a coworker starts chatting you wont have much trouble hearing while having the music, also there's an option Conversation Detection to automatically switch from Noise Cancellation mode to Transparency mode when talking and pauses your media. Once you are done talking, your media will resume.

So you have to reply or press the earpiece to switch from ANC. You can also stay in transparency mode if you want. They do seem smart enough to stay in ANC while talking in a phone call, but will keep switching/pausing if you talk back to a podcast or sing along to music.
