The same thing happened to me but with the pixel buds pro that problem has been solved

Google has made great strides in weaving in sustainable materials to our products across Nest and Pixel where possible. Pixel Buds Pro do include a subset of materials made of sustainable materials, and are designed with premium coatings and a soft matte texture. And we’re looking at ways to make wearables more sustainable in the future.

Some people may experience reactions to materials found in wearable items that are in extended contact with the skin. This can be due to allergies, the presence of skin irritants (like soap or sweat), or other causes. Keep the Pixel Buds clean and dry. Remove the earbuds and consult a physician if you experience skin irritation.
