It is correct, go pros can overheat. Everything will depend on what kind of resolution you use for your shots. But that doesn't interfere with the results of your shots.

Please try again later.The outside temperature can contribute to a GoPro getting hot, but except in very extreme cases, it won't cause the camera to get too hot to operate on its own. If you are going to be using a GoPro in a hot environment, there are things you can do to help prevent it from getting too hot, including making sure there is airflow around the camera, turning off some of the features you may not need to keep the processing power needs lower, and keeping it out of direct sunlight when possible (especially when under glass or a windshield).
