“Why is there no protective housing over the camera like there is with most other go pros? Would be using for extreme sports and wouldn’t want to damage camera.”

• It’s waterproof as is. They do sell an additional housing for protection and deep waterproof protection.

• I am not sure what you meant by protective housing? there is a housing that comes with it but it only protects the sides and part of the screen
