It is incredibly smooth! All the biking vids you see have them wearing it on their chest. That takes a bit of the shock out of the camera but still, they are on jagged roads. I mount mine on my handlebar and I ride a stand up bike so the ride is firm. This camera rocks! It takes a pretty big hit to make it shake.
