• The numbers are 1.75" tall and 1" wide. The color is green. Big enough for a nearsighted person to see without glasses (-6) from 2' away

• This clock radio is not battery operated, it does require an AC outlet to plug the cord into. Therefore, I didn't use it and I didn't see the size of the numbers. The battery is only as a back-up for a short length of time. I was disappointed and returned the item to Best Buy for a refund.
