Hello Raymond. You may purchase any Greenworks 80v battery and any Greenworks 80v charger you wish. Tool only units are ideal for customers who already own a tool in the same voltage platform and do not require an additional battery or charger. If this would be your first tool in this voltage platform we recommend purchasing a unit with a battery and charger included as it is more cost effective.
