Yes, it will . . . but most cases designed specifically for that earlier version will have a cut-out for the wrist strap connector. The 6th Gen model doesn't have that connector, so any opening would be an area for entry of dust or moisture.

Yes it fit well there were no change only the button on the back of the iPod touch 6 got removed

According to Apple both the iPod Touch 5th gen and the iPod Touch 6th gen have the same dimensions (123.4 mm x 58.6 mm x 6.1 mm). The camera and buttons appear to be in the same place as well. Sorry for not answering your question with experience but I can't see why it wouldn't fit. I hope this helps.
