“Does this case have a raised front so that the phone is protected if it falls straight down? And is the camera on the back protected or is the camera flushed with the case?”

Yes, it does have a raised front to protect the front of the phone. I have already dropped mine & it didn’t crack. I do have a screen protector, but when I dropped my phone in another phone case, the screen protector cracked. In this phone case it did not. The camera also has a raised area around it.
