Hello - We appreciate your interest in the HRB15N3BGS and we are happy to help! When installing next to a wall on the hinge side and the wall extends past the front of the unit, 14.6" of clearance is needed to open door so that the interior shelves and bins can be removed. Thanks for checking.

I would say double the size of what it is normally (closed) - it will swing open all the way if given the room - my best bet is to double the normal width of the fridge that way you’ll get the right measurement for when you open the door all the way :) great fridge !
