I hooked mine up to the router, then I used the Plex app on my computer to record shows or to cast shows to any Tv in the house as long as the tv can receive wifi you are good. If you have a tv that can not receive wifi you can pick up a roku or fire to receive single. You may have a problem with your router location because you have to locate the antenna part of the unit where you can receive a good single.

If the answer is yes, then all you have to do is download the HDHomerun app to the streaming devices and your mobile devices. You will use the app to watch the over the air channels HDHomerun is sending. All that is required is that one antenna be wired via Ethernet cable to the HDHomerun box in one room. The other room will use the app to receive the channels via WiFi. If the location of your TV is far away from your router or you have an old router, you may consider upgrading your router and if needed using an extender.

Then you hook the tuner to an antenna and your router. And that's it. Each app should should see the tuner and immediately pull down the channels from it.
